Why?
I come from a long line of worriers. We worry about pretty much anything and everything. Add in a generous dose of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and a few more neuroses and you get a guy who lies awake at night, drives down the road, and generally stares at walls all the while wondering what huge disaster is going to befall him, his loved ones, his home, his planet, etc. way more than he probably should. All this worrying isn’t healthy, but the real kicker is what I worry about.
Oh sure, I worry and fret and chew over the usual stuff like the economy and world peace, et. al., but some of the stuff that concerns me more than it should comes straight from History Channel specials about one in a million chances or these huge MegaDisasters.
Still, I’ve been told that writing is therapeutic and hopefully I’ll find I’m not alone in the world of worrying about strange and possible-but-unlikely phenomena. Join the ride with me and if you like things, leave a comment.
